An April newsletter like no other...

---

Good afternoon,

We hope that you are well.

First and foremost, we would like to take advantage of our monthly newsletter to send you our thoughts, our full support and share our deepest appreciation to all of you who work tirelessly to help us live through those difficult times.

Normandy as well as the Channel Islands are currently on lockdown and all of the events that should have been taking place in April have been cancelled or postponed. Subsequently, our "What's on in Normandy?" newsletter is quite different this month but we wanted to get in touch and help you stay informed.

To find out everything about the advice and measures taken by the French government, you can visit: https://www.gouvernement.fr/info-coronavirus

If you would like further details on how the situation is evolving in Normandy, you can refer to the following websites:

• The Regional Prefecture's website: http://www.prefectures-regions.gouv.fr/normandie

• The Regional Health Agency's website: https://www.normandie.ars.sante.fr

We hope that life and events will be coming back to normal as soon as possible but before it is safe for us to go back to Normandy and enjoy all of the wonderful things this territory has to offer, the touristic teams of La Manche and Normandy are working every day to give you content that will help you escape, dream and make you smile.

Have a look at the Official Normandy Tourist Board website

and listen to their Norman playlist:

• La playlist Spotify

• La playlist Deezer

(Re)discover La Manche by visiting the Official La Manche Tourism website

We are working on the next edition of Le Rocher, the only French language newspaper of the Channel Islands, that will be coming out at the end of April inside the Jersey Evening Post and Guernsey Press.

This edition will be focusing on this exceptional situation we are all sharing. If you would like to practice your French and contribute, you can send us an email until MONDAY 6 APRIL at info@maisondenormandie.com with a 300 words text in French with a HD picture (300dpi) about:

• your own experience of lockdown (personally, professionally)

• your thoughts on the situation

• your tips and ideas on how to make the most out of the confinement

• your vision and hopes for the future...

Or, as we all need some entertainment and creativity:

• A poem

• A game (crosswords, quizz, drawing...)

• A recipe

• Advices on music, movies, must-read...

Thank you very much in advance for your contribution, we are looking forward to discovering your ideas and creations!
