14 October 2026 will mark the 960th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, during which, in 1066, William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy defeated Harold Godwinson, paving the way for his accession to the English throne.
To commemorate this major event in the shared history of Normandy and England, Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche invites you to discover a display dedicated to this anniversary in its windows.
This exhibition marks the start of the Millenium 2027 celebrations, a year that will shine a spotlight on the Normans’ heritage and their influence across Europe.
Come and discover our window displays, and enjoy a first glimpse right here!
