As part of its missions of cultural promotion, la Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche has decided to highlight in its shop windows, one of the main events of 2020 in Normandy;  the World Forum Normandy for Peace.

The World Forum Normandy for Peace was created in 2018 by the Normandy Region with the aim of fostering the search for solutions to contribute to the building of lasting peace in the world.

An international event open to all, the Forum aims to be a place of reflection, exchange and mediation on the themes of peace, freedom and human rights. Bringing together diplomats, intellectuals, geopolitical experts, researchers and political representatives in one place, this Forum is a valuable tool to analyze different forms of contemporary conflict.

The 3rd edition of the World Forum Normandy for Peace will take place on 1 and 2 October 2020, at the Abbey aux Dames in Caen. International experts will discuss environmental, social and new technologies on “Preventing War: Responding to New Threats.” The Forum will also highlight the role of women in building peace through debates, testimonies and cultural events.

Visit la Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche in St Helier to discover the exhibition installed about the World Forum Normandy for Peace.

Thank you to the Normandy Region and the organizers of the World Forum Normandy for Peace for their help in creating this display.
