Lunchtime Talk at Maison de Normandie: “Scalds’ legacy in Medieval Normandy”
Thursday 20th October, we had the pleasure to welcome Sowila Taïbi and Jaufré Darroux from the Norman theatre Cie SKALD. They gave a very powerful and enlightening talk about the Scandinavian bards (scalds) and how their art lived through Medieval Normandy and beyond! They also enchanted the audience while performing songs and music based on Wace’s Roman de Rou and allowed us to discover more about the mesmerizing art of the scalds.
Thank you very much to our two guest speakers and artists: Sowila Taïbi and Jaufré Darroux!
