As per the words of the creator of this project, Matthieu Legoupil: “discover the picturesque places of Caen and the richness of its local heritage through a 360° navigation”.

Click here to stroll through the city and admire its emblematic places: Abbaye aux Dames, Place Saint-Sauveur, the marina, the castle…

And while you are visiting Caen, take the opportunity to discover the Musée des Beaux-Arts permanent exhibition here and play some artistic games right here (available in French and English).

ARCHITECTURE MONTH

For a month, Chantiers Communs (Common Projects) is inviting each and every one of us to reflect and exchange through various conferences, workshops… around architecture in Normandy and online, for a joyful and collaborative conquest of the territory!

Have a look at the programme here and spot the online events to know what you can take part in between 5 March and 3 April.

FILM & ETHNOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

This March in Normandy seems to be a month that will make us dream of a better future: first through architecture and second through cinema thanks to the Film & Ethnography Festival “Altérités”.

This festival will make you have a look at different experiences all around the planet and give you reasons to hope, tools to act and revive magnificent projects.

From 18 to 20 March, be inspired by participating to the online edition of this festival. Click here to know more.

CIRCUS TIME

March in Normandy is synonym of creativity in all shapes. Usually, you would be able to go see performances at the Spring Festival showcasing new forms of circus all around Normandy.

This year, the Spring team decided to give us the great opportunity of watching conferences and performances online.

On 19 March, Bru(i)t will be the first show streamed and more will follow. Have a look at the full online programme here.

LET’S CREATE SOME MORE

DIOR MUSEUM

The Christian Dior Museum is offering everyone the opportunity to take part in one of its flagship activities: the “Petit Styliste” workshop.

The sketches, made from the collections of the Granville museum are available right here.

Have your children choose a model and reimagine it in colours and textures while you can read about its history. At the end of the workshop, compare your children’s creation with the original model. Have they reinvented Dior’s most emblematic piece, the famous “Bar” suit? Or are they following in the footsteps of the couturier by unknowingly choosing the same colours and textures?

Budding couturiers are invited to send a photo of their creation by e-mail to musee@museechristiandior.fr, which will publish some of them on its social networks.

BUNKERZOOM

Who is not familiar with them? Bunkers in the landscape, hidden under the sand or overgrown by nature. They are a remnant of war and an important heritage. They are reminiscent of modern architecture or have become ‘splendid’ ruins. Sometimes they are a canvas for graffiti art or the subject of Urbex photography. They are an interesting decor for children to play in and around, and for artists to focus their creative energy on.

If you like photography, you should participate in the Bunkerzoom Atlantic Wall Europe photo contest open until 31 March. Just go out and create your own image of this bunker heritage. Post your photograph on Facebook or Instagram using hashtags #bunkerzoom #atlantikwalleurope and #europeforculture.

If you want to participate, please be sure to read the rules and regulations first. You can find these on the websites www.atlantikwalleurope.eu and www.raversyde.be.
